February is the month of love. At The Salvation Army Capital Area, love lies at the core of our mission as we seek to provide for the urgent human needs of our neighbors in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties throughout the year. One major area of need in our communities that only The Salvation Army provides are personal needs items such as shampoo, soap, toilet paper, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, diapers, baby wipes and more.

Because The Salvation Army is one of the few providers of these essential personal needs products in our region, we haven’t been able to keep up with the demand. That’s why we need the community’s help.

During the month of February, The Salvation Army is encouraging our neighbors to donate new personal needs items during the month of February. The items can be dropped off to The Salvation Army at 525 N. Pennsylvania Ave. or 701 W. Jolly in Lansing.

By donating an essential personal needs item, you are loving your neighbors. With the public’s support, The Salvation Army can continue to love our neighbors throughout the coming year.
